Serving Ads relevent to search

Ok, I know this is vague (and probably has been answered) but I have no clue what to search for to find the answer. Having said that, I'd appreciate any guidance in the right direction to help do this, as I'm pretty new to Ad Sense.

I want to replicate the effect of the following sites:

http://www.Nextag.com/ - when you search a keyword, ie: "Nordstrom" you will get the relevent ads served for Nordstrom on the next page shown (at the very bottom).

http://www.Spock.com/ - WHen you search a keyword, ie: "Nordstrom" you will get that relevent ad served as well (AND if you look in their source, they specify other keywords "Single men", "Single Women", etc.

Basically, both these sights seem to have a lot of control over the ads they are serving to their users.

I'm stumped on how they do that. I'm pretty good with HTML/CSS and ok with PHP/MySQL, bu totally new to adsense.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate that :)

nexttag uses a very sophisticated shopping search and comparison engine.

Thanks, I'll definitely check out admanager.

I'm not trying to create a site as complicated as nextag, just replicate the effect of rendering an adsense directly targeted to a keyword the user specifies. I'm sure there are simpler sites that do this. I'm having a lot of trouble finding out how though.

    Anybody else have any takes?
