Server switching effects

    does switching site from one server to another effects the web site performance in search engines? or google?

    No as long as the new server website IP address hasn't been used for spam in the past. Obviously the actual server uptime and performance is important so that it's always available when Google and other SEs spider ...

    i was using 2gbhosting.com .. now switching to hostgator

    what would you consider it.. i good move or bad one, need some suggestion on this? since hostgator anyways costing me more, 2gb is cheap by is less relaible as per my experience

    I had the same question when I moved to hostgator and saw no difference at all when it came to SERPS. My uptimes been pretty good and there suport is fast. As long as your site sructure is the same you should be fine.
