Server Spec Advice

    Hi guys

    Any advice on this kind of server, is it going to be ok for a startup site ? as ive heard that athlon servers can be a bit slow.

    The spec is below

    Dual-Core SAthlon 3800+
    2 x 2.0 GHz
    1 GB RAM
    2 x 160 GB

    Depends on what kind of site you'll run. A blog, video streaming site, too much script intensive tasks.
    Otherwise the config you have chosen is sufficient for start.

    Also the control panel u choose plays are role for eg cpanel wont be a god idea as it uses more resources

    hi guys

    It has unlimited bandwidth which drew me to this as i dont like the regulated bandwidth servers, its got plesk 9 too and seems a decent deal, the price is £40 a month !
