Server Software (HELP)

    Hi There,

    I want to start web hosting business with one dedicated server
    I am asking to check What necessary software need to be installed on a server?

    For example IonCube, Zend Optimizer, etc etc...

    I will be happy if anyone can list me all necessary software's that I need to install on linux (CentOs 4.0) server for my clients,

    Also can anyone tell me what different between CentOS 4.0 and 5.0?
    Which one is better?

    I would suggest you to install control panel (I suggest cPanel) first. Most of the things are included in cPanel to start hosting the domain. You can install any missing component later based on your requirement.

    Also CentOS 5 is the latest version and cPanel works fine with CentOS 5 so I would suggest to go for CentOS 5.

    I know.., I will get cPanel license, but cPanel is not included everything, for example IonCube and many other things,

    You can install any missing component later based on your requirement.

    As i said in my first topic i want to start web hosting business so it will be not so good for client to email me and ask me to setup his/her requirement.

    The server must be fully ready before i start selling hosting.
