Server Side JavaScript and SEO

    Hey there,

I heard web crawlers to not see ordinary JavaScript.

I was considering using the MapQuest API. They make you setup a proxy on your server which you have to go through using javascript to retrieve map directions.

When the user visits a page, I will already have the starting and end point so I should be able to get driving directions server-side somehow.

How does server side javascript work with SEO? If the javascript was performed server side and caused a DIV to be filled with text, would the crawlers see that?

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters
