    I want to get one of these 3 scripts to make a vid site.
    http://www.adultwatchscript.com/
    http://www.mediaxxxscript.com/
    http://www.videowatchpro.com/

    They all have the same server requirements:

    * MySQL version 4.0+
    * Access to cgi-bin.
    * GD Library 2+ with freetype support.
    * PHP4 or PHP5 with the following configuration
    1. safe_mode = off
    2. open_basedir = (no value)
    3. output_buffering = on
    4. register_argc_argv = On
    5. max_execution_time = 1000 (Recommended or higher)
    6. session.gc_maxlifetime = 15000 (Recommended or higher)
    7. upload_max_filesize = 100M (Recommended or higher)
    8. post_max_size = 100M (Recommended or higher)
    9. register_globals = off
    * Mplayer + Mencoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html)
    * LAME MP3 Encoder (http://lame.sourceforge.net)
    * Flv2tool (http://inlet-media.de/flvtool2)
    * Libogg + Libvorbis (http://www.xiph.org/downloads)
    * FFmpeg (http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu)
    * Ability to run PHP from the command line (CLI) with exec()
    * Ability to execute background processes with exec("binary > /dev/null &")

    The things in bold I assume are things you would have to download, and install on your server yourself.
    As for the other things, I don't know what most of them are, and I don't think my current host supports, or has them available to me. So I was wondering what a good web host would be that I would be able to run 1 of those scripts.

    I am totally knew to video sites, but I really want to make one, so I don't want to screw myself by buying the script, and not being able to use it.

    Thanks.

    Yes you need to ask your host to install it for you.
    That why i suggest you buy a hosting that specialize in tube hosting site such as cirtexhosting

    Until you get really big, you won't need that big of a server. To save some money just buy a basic dedicated server to host the site, then once you see that the server fails or when you have a lot of down time, upgrade it to a better one :).

    Actually i dont agree with this but you can try.. The thing when you host your content and start small is that its hazzle to transfer your site to a bigger server later., if you do want a tube site i suggest a decent budget and unmeterred servers you cant expect to earn something in shared when you want to host your content.. If you cant start in dedicated and you got small knowledge server side.. then dont start a tube site. You end up losing a lot of cash fixing your site and time too.. i suggest if you got small budget try embeded tube scripts that way you atleast save bandwidth and still hold a lot of traffic in a shared hosting plan.
