Hi.. i'm almost new about hostings and vps and things like that... I want a server to upload files to fileserve, filesonic and hotfile... i ned that my server have great speeds with this hosts (1 gbps us based right?)..with a good space but not too much (between 30 and 60 gbs) and with unlimited brandwidth... Not too slow like server but i don't need too much power.. only to do some light encoding sometimes...windows for compatibility with programs... I'm not sure if i need a vps or a dedicated server...
The problem is that there are too many offers and things that i dont know where i have to look..
Anyone knows a good solution that fits my requests? the speed of the hoster and the unlimited brandwidth are very important..
for the price i don't know.. i'll look into it after.. thanks in advance for people will reply to me..

I'd not recommend you to choose host offering unlimited bandwidth - nothing is unlimited.

How much traffic are you getting and how complex are your websites ?

Anyway my personal recommendation is dedi whit linux . You can sell the extra resources you don't need .

There is no such thing as unlimited, its a marketing gimmick thats all. Get a VPS with a lot of bandwidth and start your site, as it gains popularity you can move it to a dedi.

There are many reliable web hosts offering unlimited features like disk space and bandwidth. Read their TOS before making any final decision.

I assume your "Windows" does mean "ASP" supported. Lunarpages VPS may be a good option for you.

I understand that nothing is unlimited. This plan was created to remove the customer's worry to their website in terms of bandwidth/space usage. Unlike with capped plans (say 1G space, 10G bandwidth), you are always worried that maybe tomorrow, if traffic spikes, then you will be suspended.

As long as host can provide this so-called "unlimited/unmetered" plan to their clients, combined with 24/7 customer support with at leat 1 hour turnaround time, then there's no problem with it. The only way the host's problem comes when they did not plan properly their web hosting business. They'll lose their name, reputation and their clients.
