Server Randomly Forwards to WWW Version of Domain

    Hello,

I've got an odd question. I have a new domain where I've setup a Movable Type blog. I've purposely installed the MT installation to domain.com without the www present. I've purposely avoided adding a non-www to www 301 direct in my htaccess because I want the site to stay on the non-www version.

However, once a day (so it seems) for around 1 hour - 3 hours, all of a sudden the domain starts automatically forwarding the non-www requests to the www version of the domain, which brings up a dead page. But then it always stops itself after awhile and goes back to working again. No one is touching the account or any of the files, it just seems to randomly forward the non-www version every once in awhile and kills the domain.

Anyone have thoughts as to what I could look into regarding this? Thanks!

    CF

Geez, that's a weird one

Well, you could just make the site automatically redirect the www version to the non-www :p

as for the times this problem occurs, start keeping track of the times it starts, the time it lasts, etc to see if you dont see any patterns forming. How many people are affected by this? Everyone, or just a few visitors?
