Could I use the Dimension B110 from Dell as a server

Also what would I have to do to set it up as web server? Like cPanel?
Any tips? Where can I learn about this?

it's up to you whether u use it or not....I am not really certain about how set up such specific stuff (cpane).... but I assume u need to have a reliable internet conec before u even think about that.....

as i said before, ive no idea about the set up process of cpanel... but i can direct u to page where u can download it from: cpanel.net/downloads.htm

read the manual for more info....

    hope that helped...

how many sites you are targetting on that server ?

if not many then its suffciant to handle 100 - 150 small web sites.
BUT if you can go with 1 GB + ram that would be nice. now adays antispam and antivirus, firewall are must and take lot of server resources.

if you are not purchasing cpanel from datacenter it would be very costly (arround $50 / pm for single end user lic.) you can go for dirctadmin or limited domain plesk75.
even many free control panels you can find on freshmeat or sourforge.
i have used http://kandalaya.org/vishwakarma.shtml its not very great CP but good to be free :)
