    Hi,

I can not send mail tru my hosting account on hostgator.

every mail I try to send.. time out error.

they say that one of the terminals is sending invalid TCP packets to server on port 25.

I use standard outlook express and there are no malware, spyware or anything like it on those terminals.

How can I identify this terminal / problem ?

this is what they sent me

    Aug 14 02:35:31 commander kernel: IVD-TCP-03 : IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=00:13:72:40:3f:6f:00:17:0e:3b:c2:bf:08:00 SRC= 85.105.xxx.xx DST=74.52.xx.xx LEN=1500 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=103 ID=23123 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=3761 DPT=25 WINDOW=64974 RES=0x00 ACK URGP=0

I have tried to match the mac address for those terminals to the MAC=...... in the above log, but the format is different. I guess thats not the mac address..

    any clues ?

Try switching to port 26 on your mail client.
Hopefully they have their mail server running on that port

Thanks.. Actually I did try that.. didnt do any good.. :(

We have shutted down whole system.. And tried with notebook with direct connection to modem.. could not send mail again.

I think its has got nothing to do with our side of the system.
