    Hello everyone
I am new to VPS, and i recently got a server unmanaged. I followed tutorials and some how setup the server and got it up running. I was trying to ping today from this website urlsuite . com and it is returning some strange domain on ping test.

    Here is the result
    64 bytes from mahkota . mercu . net (***.**.183.22): icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=1.84 ms

I do not know where this mercu domain came from. Is my server hacked?
    Any guidance please?

    check your reverse DNS record
or ask provider to setup one for your ip

I have somehow solved it. It was the RDNS problem which was from previous user of the server/ip.
