Server or host?

    If I buy a hosting package which includes 300 gb and 3TB bandwith. Would it be enough for file hosting.
    or should I buy dedicated server

    I wouldn't expect to actually make use of 300GB of space or the 3TB of bandwidth. Most say you'll have that much but in order to use that much you're break their TOS which states you can only use a certain % of the CPU.

    But I have heard some people make file hosting sites on small host packages?

    they get banned sooner or later..i mean suspended...

    File storing type sites consume huge % of CPU resources..

    Yeah thats right. But I just mean that I have seen websites in the sale section, who have their site hosted at a hosting company.

    but what if I buy dedicated server?

    dedicated server is the way to go if you plan to make a heavy duty File storage site similar to RS..though RS is way too advanced utilizing Clustered servers..

    I plan to set up a file hosting with 25-250mb upload only.. Im writing an email to the hosting right now..

    do you know where I can find good/cheap dedicated servers ?
