Server locally

I am trying to design a new wordpress theme and would like to know the best server(and php and mysql) that can be installed on windows and easy to configure.I've tried easyphp but is there something better

Should you nicely. Has everything included for a windos server,

* Apache 2.2.3
* MySQL 5.0.27
* PHP 5.2.0 & PHP 4.4.4
* phpMyAdmin 2.9.1.1
* FileZilla FTP Server 0.9.20
* OpenSSL 0.9.8d

Dont forget to change mysql root password as it is usually set to null upon default install

 

Yep, xampp is great you can also try easyphp since xampp use alot of computer memory...

You could also use something called wamp. Personally I use LAMP, with linux.

 

I'd vouch for WAMPServer, very easy and feature rich !

Thanks all for replying but I want something that is not to large and that could be use from a usb disk and that does not take a lot of memory..

Also, I think WAMPServer is not too resource hogging. How much RAM do you have?
