I want to shift my site to another server. Does shifting of server affect the present SEO in any manner (PR, organic viewers, back links.....etc.)?

I am getting about 200-300 unique visitors per day, so do not want to loose on the momentum.
The site has just been launched (1 month back) so, I would rather do it now than later.

Also, most of my visitors are from US and the site is also targetted towars US visitors.
If my site is hosted a server in any other country other than US, does it affect SEO in any manner?
    Thanks

If you move your hosting to other country then US, it will affect your rankings, that's for sure. Otherwise I don't think changing hosting will change anything from the SEO point of view.

backlinks also won't change of course if you don't place your hosting where other sites linking to yours also are hosted. So the links to your site will be from the same IP.

    Good luck :D

No, changing hosts won't affect seprs unless you change the country where it's hosted like gulliver said.

Just make sure your site isn't down for a number of days because that can produce negative effects

    Thanks Gulliver and AnaB

Does this also mean that if my site is targetted towards US users, I am in a better position from the SEO point of view, if the site is hosted on a US server than any other country.
I am developing a few new sites targetted more towards US users, so would like to decide of the hoting server.

Yes exactly.. What you need to check is the host's IP address and in which country it is located. If you are targetting US , check whether the host IP is in US.

Host your site in the country you want your visitors to come from. If you plan your move correctly and have the new server up and running before you chnge your DNS (avoiding downtime) then your ranking won't change at all if moving to a server in the same country.
