Servage, Scam artists?

I have been hosting with Servage for a couple of months now. I am using less than 10% of the disk space and transfer usage that I paid for. Last night I received an email from them saying they will suspend my account unless I start getting less hits on my sites. Nowhere in their terms and conditions does it mention there being a limit on this, so basically they are re-writing the contract after taking it out. I have challenged them on this and all they do is forward you to their 'acceptable use policy' which, although mentioning going over transfer allowance and how you cannot put illegal materials on it does not mention anything about a limit on 'hits'.
I am going to be pursuing these guys through the courts, actually they are in breech of Articles 153 and 95 of the European Consumer affairs treaty and so need to be either sorted out or put out of business.
Anyone else here have any experience with these scam artists? Also, anyone else want to join me in suing them?
If you have no experience with them you are lucky, STAY AWAY FROM SERVAGE.

Actually, your last advice in all caps is the moral of the story... ;)

But yes, we know they have a hits/day limit.

Have you ever heard of anyone taking this to court?
They never mentioned a hits limit to me nor do they have it anywhere in their ToS...so to bring it up now is fraudulent. I am having difficulty getting them on the phone, their number just rings with no answer...so it is looking like I am going to have to get nasty on this one..pity for them they are based in the EU :))
Can anyone reccomend a decent host that allows adult sites?

You must have used more resources then allowed. In $6-7 /mo don't expect much. I am too using them but not for hosting just to keep my stuffs backup.

tippie, did you try challenging them through the ECC?
If they have been doing this for a prolonged period they should be stopped...how many other people have been defrauded?
They didn't make any stipulation on how many hits I am allowed at the point of sale..all they stipulated in terms of usage was transfer allowance and disk space, both of which I am below 10% of what is allowed.

I have my own webhosting company now.
After servage I knew I could do a lot better than them.
Now a year later I have a solid webhosting company and I work together with my clients to look for an agreement.
It's sick to offer such bandwidth and space when you suspend sites that have a lot of hits.
And biggilo, the only thing you could do is file a paypal claim to get your money back.I don't think there is any other way.

Seems you're inviting trouble for yourself...cause they don't allow the space to be used for file storage or backups.

I have heard they have suspended many for the same reason and held their data hostage.

6-7$ for shared hosting account are fine but not for 360GB space and 3600GB bandwidth ;)

In order to use this promised bandwidth you will need loads of RAM and CPU and there is no way they will allow you to do this or else the server will be down

Face the truth. this is what dedicated servers are made for ;)

That's just marketing talk. One big guy started doing that, and now all hosting companies have to follow.
