Servage Are Complete Idiots

I wonder if Servage are retards by nature or whether it takes years of staff training?

For those lucky enough not to have used servage before I will explain.... Like cpanel, when you add a new domain to your account you are given the name servers for you to change. As most of us here know that once changing the DNS it takes a few hours to propagate. Servage offer a "temporary url", similar to the temporary cpanel url, the only difference is the servage one expire after 48 hours.

Everything is going fine - I add my domain, change the name servers, upload my files though FTP, setup my database. However, when it comes to accessing the "temporary url", not luck. The temporary url provided returns a page not found, aka error 404. I contacted the technical support team to question what was going on and why the site wasn't loading.

The reply was: We have checked your account and found that temporary URL for your account is working properly without any problem. Please check and verify it at your end..

At the time of the reply the temporary url still didn't work, therefore the response was complete bo**cks. So I reply to the support ticket explaining the problem and that it was still offline.

To which I receive: We have checked your account and found that temporary URL for your account is working properly without any problem. Please check and verify it at your end.

Not only do these idiots not check the problem, they don't even use a human response. Giving up all hope of intelligence I close the support ticket and wait for the domain to propagate. A few days later I come to add another domain and try again with a different temporary url. Again the same problems, page not found.

I started a support tickets again hoping to get an answer to this problem. Thankfully a different person answers saying that the temporary url only work when the nameservers of the domain are not pointing to Servage. Surely the point of a temporary url is so you can setup the site before it goes live, or propagates?

    Hey,

The temporary url might be working in their end, it could have to do with DNS or your IP being blocked from using the temporary URL (Usually to prevent bandwidth abuse)

Besides that, then yes! I am very familiar with servages automaticly bot response! It's basicly just one big knowledgebase that makes a HUGE guess on what your question was and find something that "should" match in the knowledgebase and submit in a mail :p

It's pathetic if you ask me, but hey! Somehow they manage to do business that way

you are too nervous and blame people to easy , must be patient , if you think they are so bad try Godaddy , you will have this response in 12 hours sometimes even if your site is down and the second one in another 12 and your problem solved in few days .... but temporary url i think should work , should not be related to the dns propagation

Nono, i don't think he is nervous or blame people to easily! the fact is that it's not a human answering your tickets at Servage.. but a machine / bot, don't you ever wonder why you always recieve a reply inside 5 minutes with the same freaking answer all the time ?

And most of the answers you get inside the 5 minutes, are just bullshit! And has really nothing to do with your issue and problems you need solved!

It's like they take all answers in a bole and pick and answer randomly and reply ;) It's insane, but reality!
