while searching for a niche... sometimes i find some of my competitors is an amazon page , is that a strong page which i can't beat and appear before it in google's search? beside sometimes i find a site for example pagerank7, it isnot appearing itself in the first top 10 google's search result but one of its pages appear in the top10 so is that page as strong as the site and can i take its place in google's search results ?
Amazon certainly is a strong page because of the domain's overall link popularity, but it's not impossible to beat it. But there are lots of other factors involved, so it's important to thoroughly research the keyword involved, it's competition, and the makeup of the top 10 sites (number of backlinks etc) before you can really determine if you have a shot at beating them easily or not.
Even if his link is on amazon page there is more to it to consider it as a strong link. Is it dofollow? If yes how many outbound links from that page where your competitor's link is found? If there are many then he don't get a full benefits from it. PR has nothing to do with your serp (although i'm also confused this before) it only tells you the quality of backlinks (esp from high pr sites) a site has.
Firstly Amazon is a very highly popular domain, more over if you want to get this kind of link from a high ranking page then you need to have good content and you should see that you drive links naturally to your site rather than asking for links....
I already did all the necessary research for my niche and that factor only confuses me i don't know if i can beat amazon's page (itself is my competitor) I mean when niche isnot popular you always see the first results are pages coming from famous sites ezine or amazon or whatever else I can calculate if i can beat a site by watching its content and its backlinks' quality but such a pages i don't know how to calculate if i can beat them or not
Without going into detail about how to beat an Amazon page (which takes effort, but can be done) I think it is going to be important to mention that outside of November and December those pages typically have terrible conversion rates....so it might not even be necessary because people clearly aren't content with the way products are presented.
if one has a PR 7 website it means every word or page or content or link is noticed by search engines at every pulse...........so you need to have a good back links and other seo factors for your website to beat that page..........
