I have added a new link from a PR6 page two weeks ago, but it has had no effect on the SERPS at all. I would expect some movement by now. I know this page passes good juice because it has moved me up the SERPS for other phrases in the past (different site). Has anyone else had a smilair experice recently - are Google SERPS not moving at the moment?
They don`t change so frequently ... I blasted my new website with 6000 backlinks in 3 weeks and my traffic from google and serp is very disappointing especially when i have a lot of high PR and my website has very good onpage optimization... You need to wait a little bit more. Like 2 months or so..
2 months! Surely changes in the SERPS usually come through quicker than that... in the past i've nerver waited longer than 3 weeks to see some movement.
Just my opp ... I let things grow naturally for my websites without pinging and everything ... Of course you can speed things a little bit...
Actually so frequent and instant result form the google point of view or I think other search engines, not possible. It will surly moved up your ranking, but would take time. I have done viral marketing for my website and make some good quality links and I notice that there was real benefit for my ranking and it was moved up in the SREP, but after one month I got that. so not to worry, it will show the changes you soon.
Agree with xprtwalk , h4ckzor3 views. SEO is all about patience . Results don't come instantly. My one keyword was stuck at 2nd page 3 months back . my SERPs were not updating. but i did not give up and continue building links through articles . Now for past two week my keyword is at 1st page.
yes, the PR6 site has been cached a few times since then, one of them today: 15 Jul 2010 08:35:04 GMT
seo takes time, dont expect results in a few weeks, if you keep on building backlinks stable, you will do fine
i know SEO takes time, but this is a link i lost at the start of June, within three days my ranking had dropped from 1st place to 11th. So abviously the SERPS were updating within 3 days then. Now i have got the link back, and two weeks later no change in the SERPS, it doesn't add up, i think google are NOT UPDATING THE SERPS AT THE MOMENT, maybe this is becuaswe of the fallout from mayday update, or because the PageRank updating is coming, but either way i'd like to hear from anyone who has seen a movement of more than 5 places in the top ten rankings over the last 2 weeks?
