Hi YellowFox, Page Rank doesn't means that you are on google on number 3 in search results. Page Rank is the authority of page assigned by google depending upon these factors, Your Content (usually unique and quality content with more readerships and good comments have higher PR's) Your Baclinks (google also determine that how much quality back-links you do have, like if u have a dental blog and have links from music and entertainment sites rather than dental and health sites, it is really of no worth in the eyes of google... Edu backlinks are considered much important for google) You domain name (how much it matches with your blog/site content) Website Description (Quality description explaining your website) Website Keywords (must be relevant according to the content on the page) All the above factors work or helps PR to grow.... However search engine positions are calculated by keywords.... Lets say I have a website dentaldoctor dot com and I am trying to rank for a keyword "Dental Doctor" so for this keyword I have to post in blogs, hyperlink my post on other blogs for this keyword so people click on this and come to my website, in my comments hyperlink this keyword and write keyword optimized articles on my website for "Dental Doctor" then after few days I will see my search engine rankings improving for this keyword..... If you have done all these steps then I must share an information with you "All tools over the web and most of the softwares search for 1st 500 results in Google, yahoo and bing".... So if u rank for 501 result it might not display.... I hope this helps......
It does have times when it doesn't work and gives 'no results found', but when its working the results are accurate
