SERPs dropping.. any idea??

When I optimize my client's websites, it usually ranks top 10 first in Yahoo and then only in Google. But for the past month, none of my new projects ranked in Yahoo, but they are doing well in Google. Also the yahoo rankings got dropped for many keywords. Any idea why this is so? Has there been any algorithm modification with Yahoo??

All search engines are constantly experimenting and rolling out changes.

    Nothing is constant.

Likewise, we have to experiment to detect what is working.

SEO is a field that keeps changes all the time. I am guessing Yahoo made some changes and thats why your ranking dropped.

I have the same problem.. I do have rankings in Google but not in Yahoo
though when I'm checking the site's ranking in different SEO tools, there is
indeed a rankings on it but when I do it manually I can't find it..

I do some research and found out that the site itself should comply to Yahoo's
rules as well. SEs has their own way on how they will rank certain sites.

All the Search Engines change there Alogarithms a bit bit, and it messes everything we have done for couple of months or years. The best way to find those changes is to subscribe to somebody who is professional at it.

By Professional, I mean, there are many SEO News Website which do research every now and then and put there thoughts on each Google / Yahoo / Bing update. I recommend to try them...

to get ranking in google you must required backlinks from dofollow websites. if you lost your ranking in yahoo then start social bookmarking and yahoo answer to get indexed on top.

when things work for you with the Search engines, it means you are in the correct direction and you may proceed further. If it doesn't work, it means you need to test your methods of approach and see what method works best for you.

Even the search engines operate in this manner and constantly incorporate changes to their algorithms.

    Thanks

SERP will always keep changing. You need to get more quality back links to stay on top position of SERP.

Search engines are still the same but they are regularly amending their ranking algorithms and so some fluctuations are regularly being seen.

It might because your competitors are building more quality backlinks. Add more backlinks for your site and you should rank high again.
