I notice some of my sitse are getting a boost in Google rankings.... for instance one of my sites was #7 a hour ago. Now it's #2.. If I search a minute later, it's #1. It seems to be switching between 1 and 2 now.

yeah I've noticed huge differences in rankings as well. Like when I view it I am on page 2 but in my logs I see people are finding me first page.

I think we are going to be seeing a lot of this over the next few months.

laggy - Search engine results page or some will say position instead of page, same difference.

There is something going on, so far it seems to only hurt me, and I am not sure why....

This is the first time in over a year I've not been #1 for "female celebrities" and some other of my major keywords ... ouch! Guess I should've made that deal with Fox Media (owners of AskMen) now ... :(

Do you also see what I have attached?

I'd only quotated it to set it apart in the post, but I'm seeing freshdames sitting at #8 for female celebrities out of 12.2M results ... used to be #1 out of about 14.4M ... it's self-inflicted though, I've been so wrapped in other projects that I've not continued off-page SEO like I should.

Whatever happened July 27th (moved to The Digital Point > Reviews > SEO  ) and August 17th seems to be spreading further across d/c's from what I see.

Seems the beatings will continue until morale improves... :p

Perhaps the fact that some are showing improvements are a good sign...

Something IS going on...I can see people coming to my sites (100's of them) that've found me for a keyword phrase somewhere between 11-20 (its not that great but its a quite competitive keyword phrase)...anyhow I see them coming and I cannot see my page anywhere in the results (11-20!)..no matter what D/c I try...google seems to be doing something quite huge ;)

Yep, I'm seeing jumps around in Google UK - I've been away for a few days, so not sure when this started. Was #6 then jumped to #3 and seem to be fairly stable at #4 for the last hour.

I still can't find the results in any d/c...it's just odd...It must be something going on at google when those people search for the keyword phrase..

Couldn't it be to do with geolocation? You do a search on .com and somewhere else, say in the UK does a search on .com and they can see different results.
