So I never post things unless its significant. I have have thousands of sites so I notice important changes unrelated to just 1 or 2 sites. The last few days few days I have noticed fluctuations on high ranking large traffic keywords as much as 4 or 5 positions. I have not seen this kind of movement since the caffeine updates. Interestingly enough they are related to seo works carried out 8-12 weeks ago. I wonder if there is a delayed response where google is checking the untrusted sites to see if they keep the articles/links etc... Strange however that this is all happening in the last few days on many sites. Some sites have not had any new content just offsite seo. Anyone else noticing this? Many results that I check are UK based btw...
Yeah I noticed the same activity in my client's sites, some even jumped several pages to Page 1 and Page 2. I also noticed that every Thurs/Fri I see a lot of SERP activity changes, but this one is by far the biggest so far since Mayday.
I think it is really weird that there is a 8-12 weeks delay on SERP since Google Caffeine has said to make a big progress on real time issues. Personally, I have not noticed such fluctuate on my own sites. all the best,
I have 4 sites, did not notice any change what so ever... a bit dissapointed to be honest, my SEO company promised results more then 2 month ago, said google is going throu changes.
I agree with your comments, but caffeine is really only impacting real time results on easy to achieve serps. My content on my blog is indexed in less than a minute from when I ping it. The point I was making was for high traffic keywords that take have a lot to rank high. such as two of my main keywords Used Cars or Office Space.
My traffic has gone up as well, but didn't notice major changes in the SERPS...maybe G is just taking back more market share?
I have seen minor changes to SERPs for the few keyword phrases I follow. For the most part, SERPs haven't changed at all for weeks. As of this morning, wikipedia has moved higher by 1 or 2 positions in 3 totally different searches. I believe this points to either higher traffic sites, or higher click through sites, or more trusted sites gaining a bit of an edge.
