Hi, I have recently had my 6 year old website re-designed and this also involved new keyword URLs for the sub-pages. E,g. OLD URL - mydomain.co.uk/shop/brand NEW URL - mydomain.co.uk/underwear/brand 301 re-directs have been set up to direct the old sub-pages to the new sub-pages. However, neither my old nor my new sub-pages are appearing in google search results for the keywords they once appeared on page one for. For example, The old sub-page www.mydomain.co.uk/shop/hom was SERP 2 to 4 for the keyword "HOM underwear" and neither this nor the new page with the URL /brand/hom appear In google search results. In fact, it is the home page that appears first on page 6. Is this normal when changing a website's URL's and setting up 301 redirects? Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks
Yeah that seems normal. It will likely take a week or two for Google to fully readjust. You likely won't have the exact same rankings when all is said and done, so you might want to keep marketing your site around on the internet. You could end up higher on the SERPs than before, only time will tell. Best of luck to you, and don't worry, your site will pop back up to page one soon.
