    Are there any tools that check for rankings on SERP on a specific region? Like
    www.google.com.au

    You may use the advanced web ranking software. It helps check ranking on specific region

    You can also try to use some proxy site and open google.com.au in it.

    Personally, I use Google Preview Tool from Advanced Web Ranking. It creates a custom search engine and if configured properly it shows you the exact results you see in your browser.

    As you may already know Google tends to personalize results for each user and if you are logged into your Gmail account the results will be different in your browser.
