Why is my SERP ranking going crazy? my serp ranking dropped then a week later it goes back up then it goes down after some time. The pattern follows on.

If the site is new, fluctuations are normal. If the site is an old one, than other new sites are messing your SERP and you will only know the final outcome after a couple of weeks when every thing settles down.

Change in ranking is normal for search engines. The reason could be the competition of keywords, data centers, optimization, etc... Just continue link building and optimizing, for it to be stable in future results.

There are many things that could trigger that phenomenon. Google could be updating, Your website could be fairly new and hence settling down, etc.

A website URL would help all see if we could find something concrete. Also, is this is an ongoing thing or just has been happening lately.

search engine ranking depends on several factors.
link popularity( How you increase it. that may be increase with social book marking, social community participation, link building, quality link building, important directory submission etc). If you are increase link popularity with forum and book marking or social community your one page have good page rank where as inner not .........and it effect when your link goes down or other pages...............some social bookmarking site remove links after some time..............so be careful about this. for getting good SERPs ranking you should do good link exchange........

News sites and competition at particular keywords also effect the SERPs..............so do your work that will come down then will come back at good position when you will do good work...............
