SERP rank vs. Cache

On Google our results have changed, we assume, to our adjustments made 3 weeks ago to our site. However, the page title etc. as it comes up in Google is still the old versions of the pages -- yet when we click on Googles cached version of the page, the new version appears.

We are wondering, should we make further adjustments now since the new page is in the cache, or wait until the new pages' info appears on the SERPS themselves? I guess we are wondering, is Google returning the results based on cached pages, or what it shows on the search results page?

Thanks in advance for any insight into this!

If you are going to make the changes anyway, go ahead and do it now.

Thanks - we do have some changes we'll make now, such as pricing -- but we want to make some wording changes specifically in reaction to judging what the last wording/title/etc tweaks did. But, we don't know if the last tweaks are really reflected yet, since there are 2 versions of the pages reflected on Google -- one in Google serps and one in Google cache (newer pages are there); we don't want to further tweak before we know really what the last tweaks did. Ideas on whether the seprs need to match cache before latest mods are reflected in serps?

IMHO you should only make a change and wait to see what effect it has on your serps before you make another change, but this is my opinion. Sometimes it only takes change small amounts of information or a title tag to increase your serps.

One of my websites fell some when I made 3 changes two weeks ago, I took them off one by one and found what had caused us to drop. So IMHO I only like to change something and wait to see what happens with that change first before I go changing anything else.
