If some of you can see my site www.MIXUPDATE.com at Google and some posts through Search Engine, you may find that for a single post, Google is displaying same title for like 4 pages. If you see closely, the other pages are actually the same page but the page address further extends to /attachment/image-name . This creates a sort of mess-up in SERPS. I would like to know if I can get the attachments be no-index in Google ? I don't know where can I add the no-index tag for attachments. But I know a way of getting this ignored from Google's Webmaster Tools > Parameters But I don't know the actual structure of the parameter. On my previous permalinks, my structure was like ?p=id or ?attachment_id= so I could get them ignored by Adding an Ignore to ?p but on this new structure there is no question mark, just attachment . So should I type just "attachment" into the parameter and ignore it ? Is it fine ?
Anxiously waiting for it from such a long time. Anyone who thinks this would fix the issue is welcome ? My website is having a very poor rank in Search Results. I don't know why. The posts I share on other websites linking back to me come 1st in SERP and mine never appears. So maybe this could fix the problem.
