Just curious to know what it takes to get better SERP in Yahoo for my keywords.

I been making pretty substantial strides in Google, pretty good in MSN, but my SERP in Yahoo stinks!

What's Yahoo's emphasis in improving SERP?

I've given up on Yahoo / msn. I never rank anywhere on them for any of my targeted keywords... But best of luck to you :D

One thing I noticed from my experience is that buying links on the Yahoo directory is a big help for SERP on Yahoo!.

Thanks Computerized, but I don't have $299 to dish out right now. Nice to know though.

From what i've seen yahoo is sensitive to 2 things, it doesn't rank new domains well and sites that build links quickly.

I have a site ranking among first pages in yahoo for a 123.000.000 results and I even got first page .. as far as I've seen Yahoo will give you a lot of credit as you gather as thousands of backlinks with the keyword in the anchor title ... Google might not like it .. but Yahoo will ... however in the end, Google traffic rules ...

I never believed I could get much traffic from Yahoo. Forget about MSN. MSN was the slowest, laziest of all SE to start giving you some traffic. But, recently I have seen an increase from both Yahoo and MSN, a significant number that competes with the Google.

Finally seeing some movement in Yahoo, up to #20. Looks like it's a time factor (lag) vs. Google. :D

That's great. From my idea, by using good keywords density and by making meta tags. We can get some good rankings and Backlinks are always necessary.
