One of my sites finally found its way back into the top 20. But now the SERP lists only the URL, no title or description. Previously title and description were shown. What does this mean?

It could mean nothing given the current state of flux within google. But it could spell trouble for you site. I had occasions where this was one of the first signs of getting a penalty from google.

Maybe that's it. Back in September my site got 302 hijacked and then went from being in the top 10 for my keywords to somewhere beyond 1,000.

I know right when it happened because my AdSense earnings immediately zeroed because the site that hijacked me was Russian language and I started getting Russian language Adsense ads.

Now it has finally reappeared in the top 20. But with no title/descrip it is easy to miss and my traffic isn't going to rebound like it should.

Anything I can do? Contact Google? (Yeah, right, as if, I'll hold my breath waiting for a response, etc.)

Are you blocking the Google spiders getting to your pages with robots.txt?

I have the same problem on some of my sites. In one case the description etc. appeared later on though...

Has anyone considered a duplicate content penalty? I recently noticed that I had a few pages that were only showing up as a URL as well, and they were all ones that I had recently renamed but still had the old page around. I fixed it by doing a 302 or whatever to the new page instead of having 2 copies of the same content. I'm still waiting to see if that cleared up the problem.
