I realize that G is a dynamic ever-changing engine but here's my dillema...

I have a 4yr old site that has several top 10 results for 2 word keyphrases.

This usually brings in 1-2k uniques a day. then suddenly ( and not after a Gbot crawl) i will completely dissapear off the SERP's.(i don't search past the third page, ...no one does :)

For instance, one day, I'll click on a #1 rated link from the G-Sitemaps page, there I am, top position, then maybe the next day, or soon thereafter, i can't be found, then several days later, there I am again.Top position.

Can anyone shed some light on why this may be?
As you can imagine, this affects my profits immensely.

Many things can be a reason - 'young' domain/site, quick linking, lack of fresh content, etc... It's not easy to say - if site isn't high authority, it dances with in the crowd...

After you get to a certain point it stabilizes....have you been doing SEO on the site for 4 years? or you just began recently?

GRG:That's the quagmire as it relates to "fresh content" I'm almost afraid to change my page(s) too much. I think(hope) that I have found the right balance and that too much change could hurt me. My changes are very subtle. Currently adding new sections..a slow static page process. The dance will continue...for now

SEO ranter: Practically everything I've learned about SEO I've learned here at DP ..I've almost got my DP SEO Degree :D

It's just sooooo damn frustrating that one day I'll make 50 bux the next it's 5
    The struggle continues...
