SERP Drop

Hi, is it normal for a link in google to drop off the first page all of a sudden?

I had a product I was selling rank 8th on google and now I cant find it for the keyword.

The keyword is not very competative so I dont know what happened. is it normal for listings to drop of the face of the earth for a couple of days?



The only change I made was to bulk buys which the module is located at the bottom of the page so it shouldnt have dropped all of a sudden like that I also added a image which I also believe would have no effect

 

Yes, this happens often. When it comes back, it could be higher, lower, or the same position as before.

 

I have experienced this all last week, for many competitive kws, seems to be levelling out now.

 

The same thing happened to me. It happened to me before and it came back in a week... so I am waiting to see what happens. Google was 80% of my traffic, so its killing me to wait.

 

SERP used to change.Before few days I have also noticed a big decrease in my SERP.But when I do some more link building and SEO it just increase than before!

 

Thing is I dropped in SERPs but my orders are up 2 fold. so thats strange

 

my serps was dropped last week. now they come back with higher position.

 

My traffic this week is terrible...I get alot of random keys but now im barely getting any...we are up on the first page of our top keys but even those are pulling traffic so Im not sure whats up...Is it possible that since we gained competitive keys that it pushed us out of the non competitive?

 

we are close to pr update. serp changes are normal for these days

 

My Google traffic was up few days but on friday it went down! I hate this! I hope this is just because of the PR update and I will get my positions soon back.

Lost all my rankings on friday. Google traffic dropped with 90%

I'm glad i'm not the only one. This is most likely related to the PR update.
Hoping to get back on track real soon.

Anyone know how long this nightmare usually lasts?

BTW I see my listing is back thou it lost 1 position its still on page 1

 

Try using the google watch tool to check the position of your website at some other datacenters

Can I ask what sort of drops in traffic people have been experiencing. I've had a massive drop in traffic and it's killing my earnings at the moment. This is what i've experienced over the last couple of weeks:

It's the first time i have this.
1 week ago I was at 200 uniques/day from Google, since last friday i'm at 30 uniques/day from google.

It's costing me about $18/day so I really hope the rankings will pick up any minute now
I've never experienced this sh*t before!

 

Last time when this happened to me it lasted for 3 weeks.

 

strange we are in the same business financial and are experiencing similar, i used to get 80 per cent of my traffic from random phrases, I hope your not right abot comp v's no comp...

 

Target some good long tail keywords to compensate for the loss in ranking on the main keywords. Use a keyword tool like www.wordtracker.com/free-trial.html

 

Ya im not sure whats going on...Im up on alot of comp keywords but my traffic stinks....My uniques are half what they were 2 weeks ago.
