Guys and gals, I have a big dilemma, I have been building backlinks to some of the pages of my blog like crazy in the last couple of weeks, but I see almost no change in their SERP. Some of these pages went from 5 to 150 backlinks in the last two weeks and yet their SERP has barely improved. Most pages on other sites that rank better than my pages barely have 15-20 backlinks and from what I’ve checked, they’re not higher quality than the backlinks I have. What’s going on here? Is there a waiting period for backlinks to take effect or something?
First its a matter of patience The Google cache seems to take forever to clear Then it works its way through the system Remember Google cannot work on a moving target - its using old data secondly what kinds of links For Google they have to be relevant links ( at least according to Google) good luck
I think they are relevant links. Most of them are from article directories and blogs in the same niche with mine or related ones.
All you can do is keep building links. Like mentioned above, it takes time. Google likes to dance too, so it might be that you're suddenly on page 1 and one week later on page 7 etc. Just keep building links and if it's good enough your site will appear in a good position too
Sometimes search engines, specially Google takes some time to consider new links. So, working on with your SEO activities.
