Seriously Cool Widget for Directories and Blogs

    A Digg posting led me to this great widget from the "who's amung us" folks called "maps amung us." It took me three minutes to install it at Exalt, and I'm no coder. While I was looking at it and feeling lonely (I was the only visitor), the map lit up with a visitor from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Now THAT'S what the web is about. I'm sure some of you guys with popular directories will have maps that are lit up like Christmas trees. Check it out!

    EDIT:it is misleading,I am not from New Delhi,but is showing me as a visitor from New Delhi

    I haven't noticed a slowdown, and I think it could have some utility: it could keep visitors on your site a little longer as they see where other visitors are coming from, and it could add a sense of "reach" or "globalness" to your site that it might lack otherwise. Further, it's a differentiator, and might help your directory/blog stand out from a cookie-cutter crowd. Just my $.02 :D
