could have been to friends henderson. or an opt in list of some type either as customers or as sign ups
So "most people reading this thread" are "a little jealous" hearing someone is doing well? Um, so if I just click on this thread cause it's a new thread, there's a 50-50 percent I'm jealous? Dude, I love your deduction skills. LMAO.
I'm guessing this is some sort of social networking site. I doubt they can be so successful so quickly, though, so he must be doing something a bit different.
maybe, i just hate when someone asks a question and either is here and don't reply or just never comes back. my guess is he's here and he's waiting to get us more hyped up then he's gonna show us the url expecting a ton of us to rush and see, which we will just to see it and if he's complying with TOS or not
I'm just curious how someone can setup up a site "5 days ago" and get 300k unique visitors in a couple of days... :S
It isn't impossible. It just needs to get a good start and have some sort of exponential growth. Social networking sites come to mind as having an exponential type of growth, where one visitor can spawn several more visitors. It's possible he just started some sort of social networking/dating site that got listed on another high-traffic page, resulting in a good number of people being listed.
Alot of sites start out like most webmasters where they set up a site and try to get sites linking to it by doing link exchanges and things. There are other sites then which go further and contact the press and things just before they launch their site. Sites like this can get quick traffic if it is a site that looks very interesting to the press. It's like the milliondollarhomepage.com. Look how quick that site got around the web with the amount of press he received.
I would email the adsense team, i am sure that your earnings on a new site wwill raise all kinds of red flags, I have no idea how you could get that much traffic and then clicks on ads I cannot for the life of me see adsense cutting you a $30,000 check for the 1st month without them doing a very indepth review! What are your ctrs? and your page impressions? Good luck but ithink you are in for a rough ride and possibly getting banned for life. It just smells fishy! Mark
I agree with you that Google is most likely to look more into the account due to the amount of earnings being made in the first month. But I disagree where you say you don't know how a site can get that much traffic and clicks in the first month. Anybody can get that is they have a very good approach to things. I have never got it, but there are a few that do get it just because they have a unique idea and it catches onto the press.
What dont you read the threads here? Google will ban you for no reason and keep all your money seriously though you should be fine.
be legal, follow TOS & policies n I'm sure Google doesn't want to break relations with any well established site.
What...How does a 5 day old site recieve 300k uniques... Edit: Wow someone bumped this thread from 1 year ago....
Yeah, it's probably the bulletin board message system. Maybe automated? For as much as I ignore those types of messages, he must be sending hundreds of thousands or more to get results like that. Or there is additional automation built in somewhere along the line.
Hahaha this thread was started Mar 20th 2006, 10:27 am , then what happened ? some one PM him and bring here let us know
it is possible, I usually generate around 100 to 200 hits a day, one day I generated 2000 hits and I made 50 bucks in a day, now I am scared and starting to read all the TOS to make sure I didnt break any rule. with higher paying keywords with other contents, its possible, you'll just have to see how you play it out... I am not sure how you can keep it up tho.
People make more money than this and still get paid. Google is a well established name and they won't cheat the customers as long as you don't cheat Google by violating their Terms & Conditions .
