Serious Issue : My Content Is Being Stolen.What I can Do?

Hello,
Well recently I have found that all the very original articles from my blog are being stolen directly and used by some other blog. Due to this I have seen a drastic drop in the traffic levels since last few days. I have tried contacting the webmaster of the blog, but no response. Could some one help me, like what can I do now to stop this and get my traffic back.

Try contacting webmaster once again and if you get no response then File DMCA

 

Using wordpress ? try a plugin WP-CopyProtect
Dont allow others to copy your content

 

Report the same to his web host service provider. Show them enough proof to substantiate your claims! They should help you sort this out!

To protect yourself, IMO. and Prove it latter on! Get every single detail of the offender you can.
Copyscape, and save everything. Goolge the site then cached and save it all as well, If you want to protect yourself! you can. Its easy and free-mostly Phone time etc..

I actually called Google Sydney, and got a very fast response. THANKS Google.

Anyone stealing your copyright protected, unique individual work? to the best of my knowledge, is in really, really deep poo.

I don't think there is too much that can be done unless you file an official DMCA complaint. In the meantime, I would recommend you contact the Web host and the domain name registrar. They may each be able to work with you without having to go through the DMCA process.

 

I'd contact DMCA asap, and make sure you make copies of all the proof to send them. Good Luck hope everything works out

thanks..I installed but again after that too it copies content from my blog. Can this plugin stop someone from taking RSS feeds and putting in his site/blog?

 

Contact the host with a DMCA complaint.

 

I'd make it difficult and get a theme which makes the post go out of wack or put a nice fat ad in between the hole thing so they have to work around it and eventually get pissed

Presently, I'm having the same situation.. Some idiot copied all my designed blogger templates and removed the footer credits and claiming that he designed them to his readers and distributing them on his blog

 

first thing you should do, is make your rss feed only show a summary, not the full article.

Then what you should do, is in the first section of every article, put in a link back to your website, that way, they will be boosting your website rankings, not hurting them =)

 

Just curious, how people can prove what is the original author of one article? For job, e-commerce, site, they have very similar content? That is an issue? For db driven site, like all those yp directory, who owns the content?
