Serious Doubts About Blogrush???

Hi there, today i received an email from a list that i belong to and the author had some interesting things to say about blogrush. I can't publish the whole email as he also reviewed some other products (ebay related} and it would go on forever. Here is his review of blogrush............

"I think people buy into these programs by suspending doubt, and then defend their decisions in order to prevent themselves from seeing the truth.

These people want to believe in the pitch, and are willing to poke their own eyes out in order to avoid seeing anything that might raise doubts.

I bring this up because over the last few days a new "wonder widget" has the masses excited so much they refuse to look closely. Anyone who looks closely is quickly attacked by the true believers.

    I am talking about blogrush.

If you haven't heard of blogrush yet, you put a piece of code on your blog, and the widget loads links to other relevant blog articles. Every time it loads on your blog, you get more of your links on other blogs. When you refer others to the system you get credit for their page views too.

To make it more attractive, it's free.

Sounds good, but when you think about the consequences, there are some major problems.

First, the blogrush system will quickly be gamed by unethical users so their posts appear more often. Their posts will not be worth reading, just crap with ads around it. This means the majority of the links from your site will be to worthless sites.

Secondly, I don't like to link to anything on my sites without checking it out because my reputation is at stake. I don't want some widget on my site that might damage my credibility. I've looked at many blogs over the years and a majority of them are nothing but crap.

Third, I bet many people assume the widget will do the work for them and stop trying to build relationships. This is dangerous.
Just in the past few months I've mentioned Gary Hendrickson's and James Jones' blogs. Both are worth reading and sharing with others.

These are people who also link to my sites. I can see that in my web stats. With the blogrush widget your stats will only show traffic coming from blogrush, not the original referring site.

One last thing. I doubt visitors who come in from this widget are really worth much. I track my sites quite deeply and watch where people come from and which groups result in revenue. The people who visit my site as a result of seeing a headline on another site are almost worthless. That means they don't take actions resulting in income.

Remember, more visitors doesn't necessarily mean more revenue.
It depends on where the visitors come from, and your ability to get them to part with their money.

Right now it's too soon to see any realistic results from using the blogrush system. That means everyone who is talking it up is working on emotion rather than on rational thought. They have suspended doubt, and aren't worth listening to.

Take your time, and build something that will last. Don't fall for these irrational promoters.

The blogrush system might be worth using as a part of your traffic generation toolkit, but not exclusively. If you end up having to constantly ban blogs from your site, it might not be worth the hassle at all. Pay attention to what happens to your numbers"

That was his review ,what do you think ?.............

If I understand it correctly, it's a link exchange via a blogroll. Is this correct? If so, I don't understand what the big deal is. I wouldn't expect something like this to bring much traffic. I think I'd rather blogroll my own stuff and build links in a more natural way.
