There is a method of finding the targeted keywords you need to rank for. Go to Google Adwords keyword research tool and key in a few of your competitor's sites and request for keywords. Adwords will throw you a list of keywords that they feel is relevant to your topic. Target all these. The idea is to spread out your keywords, ie target a few rather than one. This will boost your traffic significantly!
use good keywords tool from http://www.goodkeywords.com/products/gkw/ to do keyword research. It is good and free tool.
"Social Networking" is probably a more popular term. The overture keyword tool seems to be back online so you can check to see how often your keywords are searched on Yahoo each month. I would advise you to add as many of these key phrases in your "page title". I had a website before with a "0" pagerank and was in front of other websites with higher page ranks simple because I had the key phrase in my title.
