All, I am in the process of creating a 2nd site for the domain i work for (www.dog.com). I wanted to do this because 20% of the traffic coming to this domain is dial up and with the image heavy site that is up currently, they would take minutes just to be able to view the page (which is unacceptable). So I thought well maybe if I created a landing page, let the user select where they wanted to go based upon their connection speed, that that would help. However, I dont want to get penalized for having duplicate content appearing and drop in SE's for the KW that the company has targeted. So that is my story. Here is a sample of what it will look like (this is a ROUGH first stab): www.dog.com/home.asp Please let me know your thoughts regarding this matter and if it is feasible or not to go through with. I appreciate the help. Regards, Dorian
I don't think that is a good approach. You can have some control over what loads first. A table will not appear until the entire content excluding images is loaded. Make the top of your site a small table that is not nested with the rest of the site. That way, the top will load quickly. Better yet, make the top line text without a table.
