Separate Campaigns for Search & Content Network?

    Hi all,

I'm looking for some feedback on making separate Search and Content Network PPC campaigns. I run campaigns with both Search and Content together, and some with them separated, and I'm wondering if those campaigns that aren't separate will have more success if I do split them based on network.

I know Google recommends keeping them separate, but has anyone noticed a big benefit one way or the other?

Always separate them - they are completely different animals. They use keywords differently - content uses the theme of your keywords - they should have different ads written, and you'll want to bid differently

So even the ads should be different if the landing pages are the same?

Any tips on ad copy? I find that ads with numbers and shorter thoughts work better on the content network, but can you recommend any other tricks?
