Hi, I need advice on setting up a Google Shopping Feed. I have an e-commerce website with 100 products and want to spend about $100 a day total on AdWords. I want my Google shopping feed to display constantly and because the CPC on most items is about 50 cents per click this is feasible with a $100/day budget to generate the traffic I need to survive. The problem is, I have other Ad Groups in my account where the CPC is about $5 a click for the keywords in those Ad Group. When I fill my account with a $100 a day budget, the expensive $5 clicks depletes my budget causing my product feed to not show. What is the best way around this? Can I make a separate Ad Words Account for my Google Shopping Feed? Wouldn't this conflict though as I would have 2 Ad Words accounts pointing to 1 domain? What is the best strategy? Again, I really want my Shopping feed to display 24/7 Thanks,
Hey there, If I we´re you, I´d start a new campaign, to administer your google shopping feed (pla) so can manage your daily budget on campagn level. This way you´re able to spent 20 bucks on your 5$ clicks and 80$ on your pla campaign. Good luck!
You would be allowed to have 2 AdWords accounts but you would only have 1 ad showing for any given search so as long as you were not trying to show 2 ads for the same domain for the same search it should not be a problem. Your other option is to try and use an automated rule for your more expensive clicks that pauses those ads every day once they spend a certain amount of money. Using automated rules is not fool proof, Google does not guarantee that they will always work, so if you try that you should monitor your account closely in the beginning.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm still undecided on the best route. I just realized that Google has a 800 #, so I may give them a call tomorrow. Anyone else have any input on the best solution? Thanks again! This is a great help.
Maybe you should get some professionals to deal with your Adwords account. Your budget of 100$ a day is not to bad! I know some guys from Germany, who helped a friend of mine. He dealt with Adwords himself and burned a fair sum of money. These guys helped him to administer his account and within three month they doubbled the sales volume using the same amount of budget in Adwords.
The best, simple and effective way to do this to create separate campaign for your PLA [product listing ads] with sufficient budget to shown over 24/7. and for the problem with your high CPC adgroup try to include as much you can exact and phrase keywords rather than going for broad one. Hope this will work for you.
