Hi folks,

I recently made a nice piece of software which automatically creates entire websites from online articles. It's got a host of features and out of the limited competition is, I believe, the best product of its kind.

The site is brand new and I need help marketing it, so rather than waiting I'm considering selling and moving on to another project.

Sales:
I've only done 2 things to market this, post the DP thread above and also a thread at SitePoint. The SitePoint thread is new and has generated 0 sales.
The DP thread has produced 4 sales resulting in $210: the product is $60, and I give $30 to resellers. So that's 3x$60 and one guy buying for a friend, so 1x$30. That money was made in the last 2 weeks or so.

Proof of Revenue: All sales so far have been via Paypal, if you want I can take a screenshot of the relevant sales.

Price / BIN - I haven't decided on a BIN yet. I got $210 in well under a month, so I hope you'll agree expecting over $2,000 seems reasonable.

There has been interest from some experienced marketers and they seemed genuinely impressed, I know one competitor site with an Alexa ranking of 140,000 selling a similar product, and I can say honestly my product is definitely better.

If anyone's interested let me know. It's original software, it can sell, and others are selling an inferior product and seem to be doing well.

if I buy your business, how ca I be sure you won't replicate it on another domain, or sell it also to other companies ?

 

You need to adjust your website to look good in firefox. It looks out of alignment.

Also interested but can you say which article sites you use as there are quite a few that get funny about taking content from them?

This is a sale for the program with sole ownership and rights and that is what you will get - complete and exclusive ownership. If you wish I would also be happy to delete all personal records of the source code after the sale.

The program uses GoArticles.com, as it has what I thought to be the biggest article base and gave the most relevant search results. GoArticles uses a captcha when accessing articles but the program has a nifty recognition features that can "read" the captcha automatically. The program also has polite fetching, articles are fetched using a definable delay anywhere between 1-60 seconds apart, so it doesn't put undue strain on their server.

Yes, I'll provide fixes for any bugs that arise for 1 month. The template system is somewhat sensitive, so for example that's something I'd be happy to help out with.

I'd be interested too. I found your site by accident the other day, and the program looks good. Are there templates for the website in the program, or does the user have to creat a template to upload? Also, can the user pick and choose which articles they want to include, or do they get everything showing up on the site?

What language is this written in? C#? C++?

 

Vithca, the program's written in standalone VB.Net. I"m considering porting over to C++ or a similar language.

Hi, I'm interested in marketing your product. But I need some infos :
- Doest it create static files with any extensions
- Does it rotate the sitemap
- Does it create snippet of articles
- Does it create xml sitemaps
- Is there a RSS feature to syndicate content...
- Do you check for keyword density in articles, for duplicates...

Without these features, I think you're overpriced regarding to the competition, but this could be a good introduction software, at a smaller price.

Question:

If goarticles changes the captcha they use your program will have to be redone to hack the new captcha. This is a rather expensive service to outsource correct?

The captcha code is clever but as it's already in place modifying it would not be that expensive or time-consuming.
