Thanks for the testimonial maldives, eiso. It's just that I was annoyed with his pm because he was like accusing me of doing something wrong, that he can't see his site, when obviously, he is the one with problems...

Also, he's pm says that he couldn't see it since three days ago (?). My question is, why didn't he tell me this earlier so we could have learned what his problem was?

    Hi,

Well, I know that other people can see it with no problem.

But it is still blocked from my IP.

I am not blaming you until we have isolated the problem on this. See my PM.

    This thread can be deleted.

The title of his pm is "Unsatisfied Buyer"

    The body was:
"It was working before but then something was changed some days ago."
"I will soon post about this on DP/SP or even take it further ..."

His ending line was "Expecting fast reply"

Seemed like he was blaming me, what do you think guys? I made that sale in good faith, and even changed the logo for him. I will not tolerate any insinuation that i did something wrong when I haven't.

No, I do not want this thread erased. Administrators, pls. don't delete it. It's a public record.

In general, threads will never be deleted but rather closed.

Additionally, I can see the site just fine as well, (USA).

    Ok. Well fact is:

    1. I bought the site ($500) and got login data. 1-2 days later my IP gets blocked (connection refused).
    2. The only way for me to reach the site is behind a proxy.
    3. The domain is registered on domainphil.biz that charges $800 a year to renew a .com, .net etc. That site has no answers in their FAQ pages and no contact data on their site. Looks very fishy.

I have no proof to blame you howardroark and I hope it is just a mistake somewhere. You seem like a good guy, I hope that is correct as well.

EDIT: If it does not get solved and also a solution for me to transfer domain to godaddy within 5 days then then I want a full refund ($500) and I will return all data I have received and give you the new passwords for hosting and domain so that you can keep the site.

That is so malicious. In case you were not informed, that is standard practice in domain and site sales. Whois is your proof of ownership.

    $800? That's 800 pesos! duh! That's a typo! Here is the registrar www.domainphil.com
Go to domainphil.com. Click payments and pricing.
domain prices are at 800 pesos at the top. That's 14 dollars. Below are the hosting prices.

    His pm...

    Brian,
"I hope you have changed the whois information, because i still see my name on it." Why so hurry with that? So that I get the $800 bill?
Anyway. See my answer in the thread. If there is no solution and also a solution for me to transfer to Godaddy within 5 days I want a full refund and I will give back everything so that you can keep your site.
If that is not kept, I will take this matter further.
    Jim

I have clarified above that it's 800 pesos not dollars. That is their typo. I have given instructions for everyone to see where the pricing is. I have also given you the email to contact them to make the domain transfer.

You are in no position to demand an immediate transfer to Goddady because that is their jurisdiction, not mine. A refund after, you downloaded my site? Now, that's a scam. Your ip is banned? Maybe you're just making this up so can ask for a refund. Why would your ip be banned AFTER i gave you the user and password to the hosting and domain management panel? Everyone all over the world can see it, where is your proof?

I would like to reiterate that he has already downloaded the entire site. I have proof of this in my pm inbox.

That everyone knows now where the domain is hosted and how to contact the registrar. All he has to do is ask them how to successfully transfer the domain. The 5-day deadline is stupid because I am not the registrar. He has til April of next year to make the transfer. I assume he has basic skills to ask them and godaddy to make the transfer. If he has such skills he can make the tranfer within 5 days. I already emailed domainphil to authorize the unlocking of the domain for the transfer.

    A full refund? Insane.

    Ok.

Ok good. I am glad that was a mistake.

    Ok thanks, will do that.

Ok, that is no problem now when the price was verified.

Hmm. Ok, well you are probably not scamming me, I don't believe that anymore. If I was in your shoes I would probably answered the same like you, and if you were in mine you would probably answer the same like me.

Why my IP is banned? That is also my question.
If I am making it up? No, I am not.

    Proof? No problem.

    Here is some screenshots:

    Refuse connection from FireFox:

    Refuse connection from IE:
    http://www.jimwestergren.com/temp/2.JPG

Refuse connection in my FTP program:

I can reach the site from a proxy:
    http://www.jimwestergren.com/temp/4.JPG

So let us assume none of use is lying. Ok. Maybe by switching host I can get unbanned? Let's try that, what do you think?

    Or any other idea?

    Wait!!

I am also banned from that site!

So it is the domain registrar!

    Ok, puuuh.

    :)

So I will just attempt to transfer the domain. I hope my e-mails are not getting blocked. Could that be?

Well I'm glad that we got all this cleared up. I absolutely have no idea why you're IP is getting banned. They are a tucows reseller (USA) so their servers are reliable. I don't think that your emails are getting blocked because everyone around the world can access the site except you.(?) I would suggest that you use a different computer when working for the site for now.

You should get godaddy hosting too, which is cheaper than domainphil, and transfer everything. Just be patient when contacting domainphil, they're not exactly the fastest in my experience.

The site is resolving here in the United States...
Jim does need to have full control of the domain name in order for the sale to be valid though...
If I had paid out $500 bucks I would be expecting a fast reply too...

    Ok good.

I am glad we found the cause for this. No need for any refund.

I will transfer to godaddy and meanwhile I have a friend who can upload on FTP and I can see the site from a proxy.
