I have a site that is schedule to launch in two-three months. In the meantime I was thinking of creating a blog on a subdomain, blog.domain.com, and start the SEO process through that. Is that a good idea? i'd figure I can always redirect the index to the subdomain and when the site is complete I can add the blog as a link . . .Is this worth doing?
Yes, the blog is a good idea. Do you have someone to write down articles on it? If not, you need one, because you won't have time to develop your main website any more. It's better to finish up one website at a time rather than starting a website and not putting enough effort into it. Do you agree?
I was thinking of just syndicating posts, and giving the appropriate credit to the author. Then mix that in with a few original content.
the subdomain is seen as an entirely different site by google...so your blog is not going to have an effect on the main site.....its better to put it in a subfolder
Thanks. I suppose I shouldn't begin to submit the site into any directories either - since the core site isn't built yet...?
if you have completed any part of your site (like blog.domain.com), it's better to start making seo. this will help your seo time
