    Are you talking work on SEO to your blog? Of course you can, many blog owners keep submitting my directories. Looks like they are working on SEO for their blogs.

    And how is optimizing one's blog relevant to submitting to directories?

    Is submitting to directories considered SEO?

    I consider using the right keywords and page titles and all of that stuff to be SEO.

    Am I wrong?

    directory submission is part of "off page SEO" while what you listed is "on page seo".
