seobook's $100/month membership

Has anyone signed up for this? Just curious of other people's opinions of it. (http://www.seobook.com)

I've signed up for it, so far I think it looks good value for money. It will need constant addition of new material to be good value long term though. I printed out the 350 page e-book and read most of it already, its nice to have everything in one easy to look up document.

Anyones thoughts on this? Either if you've signed up what you think about it, or if you havent do you think its too expensive?

You should read this thread. SEOBook is being discontinued.

<edit> Er, sorry I noticed your question was more to do with the forum access. It's probably a reasonable price for SEO Pros, but otherwise, it's too much for little old me.

Yeah the book isnt being updated any more, but membership their gives you access to the forums and all the tutorials/articles etc. It also includes the recent version of the book. I printed it out to read as I was stuck on a train for 4hrs each way so it was perfect for reading then when I had no net access.

Sure, if you want to sort through 7 threads asking why their PR has fallen, 9 threads on when the next PR update is, a thread asking what a backlink is, and a few more titled "why my rank fallen in google???"

There is far too much garbage in the DP seo forums. Sure there is good stuff here too from the likes of Ssandecki and Dan Schulz etc, but its few and far between.

It's only a waste of money because we have almost 300 Search engine optimization, search engine marketing and internet marketing e-books and yes we have got benefit from some books only beacuse 60% books repeat the same things which is mentioned in other books and one more thing all these ebook data is available on internet, just we you to spend too much of time. I have search for 3 years and still searching so ebooks are helpful only if you get a book which is not having repeated content. But i will advice you to read all seo forums including DP you will never need to join any paid membership site or have to pay for any ebook.

100$ for what ? For the same "secrets" seen everywhere on the web ? I've read SEOBOOK, although i'm a newbie in SEO, 95% of the book is just basic knowledge, nothing more.I've seen better free ebooks, I can tell you that, without all that fluf.

The ebook is only part of it. The forums and extras alone are probably worth the $100. I guess it just depends what sort of value you put on your time. For me I'd rather pay and have everything in once place for easy reference. There is some good content on seo on DP but there is far too much garbage to sort through to find it.

I'd love to hear more reviews of the service and access to the forums. Is it really worth it? Are the forums that busy? Are the answers any better than here or elsewhere?

Bear in mind I've only been a member for less than 2 weeks. The first month its definetely worth it. Since you are paying, you get a far more in depth review of a site if you post something up and ask for seo advice. I've posted one site already and the advice I got in that thread alone has easily been worth this months $100. If you are regularly creating sites, or working on clients sites, then I would say its easily worth the money.

Also, if you're already earning a lot of money online, then its worth it for sure. If you can pick up some tips that increase income by a small percentage, then its easily going to pay for itself multiple times over.

I have picked up a lot about seo already and some of my sites are ranking excellently on competitive terms, but there is always more to learn. I just feel seobook is a far better place to get seo information than anywhere else, since its paid membership there are no spammers, people trying to promote their own affiliate crap, and only people genuinely interested (and knowledgable) in seo.

It all comes down to what you think, for me it looks like its easily worth $100/month and should continue to stay that way. I can't say whether its worth anyone elses $100 but for me it looks good.
