so much cribbing .... how does that help you ?
I have purchased and read the SEOBOOK and i find it very informative. I have also purchased several other ebooks , most of which were one time value .... at least his book gave multiple updates .
Beyond that , he also provided 3 months subscription to the community , where he is taking the time to answer to almost every question currently posted. I find , thats a LOT of value for a one time buy of 79 USD.

Ouch, seems you missed the first SEO rule. Lifetime means, in more literal terms, 'until it dies'. The eBook, as suggested, has 'died'. Aaron's a good guy and provides a lot of high quality information to other guys in the trade. It's especially great, because it comes from a guy who once is reported to have said:

"I would need to shower at least six times a day if I worked for a company as dirty as Traffic-Power."

If you're downloading copyrighted materials which require payment for legal use, then this proves exactly why you'll be making $0.03 a day on affiliate and advertising schemes for the rest of your life. No guts, no glory. No investment, no glory, respectively.

I agree that this is unfair on those he promised free updates to.

Actually, it is illegal though I can't see anyone bothering enough to sue him.

Sure, he's entitled to change his business model. But if his new business model essential involves charging for what he already charged for (i.e. lifetime updates) then he's a crook.

His site says: Most Sustainable Businesses Charge Recurring Fees for a Recurring Service

Yes, they do, Aaron. But they don't first tell you that updates will be free.

I think the decent thing to do is to give all those existing subscribers free access to the forums forever. I know that will hurt your pocket but it's the honest thing to do. It's the decent thing to do. Personally, I won't avail of it because I think your attitude stinks. That someone has to point out the inherent dishonesty in your plan is sufficient to put me off reading your output anymore. There are plenty of other places I can get SEO updates - from SEW to planetocean to highrankings to others.

And stop taking new affiliates. I know someone who just signed up, has been accepted and he's posted your links all over his site completely unaware that the program is ending. What's that all about then? If you sent out an email to existing affiliates in Feb isn't that when you should have stopped taking new ones on? Have they even been told of your plan when they signed up?

I am so glad that I just happen to purchase this the day before it was discontinued. I am only half way through it but it has been really good so far. I was surprised that it was over 300 pages long. That is by far the biggest ebook I have ever downloaded.
