Aaron Wall send out an email in which he explains when and why he's going to stop selling the SEObook. Their site will remove the download link tonight.
yep, just signed up for the new paid membership forums. Aaron told me the price will go up to $100 once the first 100 people signed up. He thinks that'll be some time today.
Let me say that I never did purchase Aaron's book but I did decide to join his new monthly paid membership. So far, I do find it very worthwhile.
I have noticed about this since December 2007 which I haven't seen any update for my SEOBook I have purchased on November 2007. I paid more expensive compared to other ones because of his promised "lifetime update". He sent me survey form asked me what I wanted from SEOBook. I told him to update his ebook and also sent him personal email regarding to this - guess what? no response. He is a famous one and his book still a good read but I'm curious about his honest. He discontinued update his ebook and broke any promised "lifetime update" and now what? His new "monthly membership" may worthwhile but how he tossed his old customers, who bought his ebook because believe in him and his "lifetime update". He has ignored "customers". I just want him to continue update his ebook as he "promised". I don't believe that Aaron wall would become a dollar-sign-in-the-eye person. He can does his monthly subscription but he shouldn't ignore old customers and left them behind.
He said because e-books are going out of favor. Instead he's focusing on providing a service (via paid membership) and going away from the product (his e-book and affiliate program). I've not read the book. Is it really all that informative for someone who's been doing SEO for a long time?
I actually knew a lot of what was in the book. I still haven't read it all. It just re-inforced everything, gave some useful tools and made me focus on the things I was doing right.
Auch. That doesn't sounds good. I wonder if he could simply give solid discount for old customers or somehow keep the pretty tough promise...
" don't believe that Aaron wall would become a dollar-sign-in-the-eye person." That's not only with him, any guy would become when you'll be in current Aaron place. I've told this year ago in DP when I have some talk with so calles SEM-Advance, who working with multi-million budget in adwords, top in SEOChat and so on, LMAO simply LMAO!!! cause yet he stays on DP and even try to get clients.
Anyway, can someone let me know when was the last last update of it and how many pages last version of SEOBook have ? Want to compare.
I offered everyone who subscribed to updates a free 3 month trial. Hundreds of members signed up to take advantage of that. It is not just that ebooks are going out of flavor it is a combination of things, mentioned here http://www.seobook.com/changing-seo-book please email me...I am sorry if I missed your email
That's a bunch of horse****. Ebooks are not in or out of favor any more than they ever were. He's doing it because it's a smart money making opportunity for hiim. Come on folks, he's an SEO expert. That pretty well means that he's all about making money. I am really sorry to hear this news because I just read a forum post yesterday that recommended the SEOBook. I was going to check into it, but I guess now it is not available. Does he basically have the same content available within his paid membership?
HI So do our affiliate links on our site still work and we get credit if someone joins this membership option now.. I use to sell like 3-4 ebooks per month from him.. but now nothing in the past 3-4 weeks.. Thanks Tom Dahne
