    Fresh and quality content is very important but its like opening a great shop in the remotest place. If search engines are unable to see reach you, how will they rank you? However, if you make a lot of roads and links to your shop, search engines and everyone else would love to come to your shop. :)

    wrong. you need both. but SEO is not a waste of time. had I not done SEO on my sites I would be making 25% of sales only. I would say SEO is MORE important than fresh content is some circumstances

    Yes, I agree with you. SEO is not a big problem for quality sites.
    But I just don't have time for all my projects and some of the sites are crap.
    So I rely on SEO to boost these sites in the search engines and make them profitable.
