I have a friend who has a small problem he'd like to have me solve - and I think it would be quite easy for anyone with just a bit of SEO brains He has a search term in Hebrew (his name + his line of work) where someone who has a few results that speak negatively of him. I know this guy, he's not related to anything they mention there (related to negligence when handling a specific client). The search term has a measly 700 or so results on Google lol... He'd like me to get a few pages up, or even promote existing pages if that's cheaper, and get the first few results out of the way - so anyone searching for his name + his line of work (in Hebrew) doesn't see the results that are there now. I'm assuming these results have little or no backlinks to them (they're just a few forum posts mainly, in very small forums), so just getting content up there and linking it from maybe one or two places should do the trick. Maybe even without linking it, if you optimize the content properly. Can anyone here work with a Hebrew keyword, and bump the other top search results (the first 10 have about 4-5 instances we'd like to get rid of), by introducing new pages with his name on them, or promoting existing pages that are already there? We don't care either way. It's not such a hassle for him, because it only comes up if you search for his first name + his line of work (Hebrew), but if he can get it out of there for a relatively cheap price, he's willing to do it. I told him, since the term only has 700 or so results, and the sites mentioning him negatively have virtually 0 links, it shouldn't cost a lot at all. Can you quote a price for me? If you need to get a look at the keyword, PM me. Adi Friedman Two Believers.
the best strategy for this isolated situation is for your friend to write a rebuttal on the major attacks on his "name + topic". For each issue, he should craft a short article, say 300 words. Then what you can do is a link build campaign to his positive articles using the negative anchor text. this should be easy to implement on the SEO and Link BUilding side of things. The tough part is the content.
