seo with wallpaper website

A friend of mine has a wallpaper site and wants to know what type of urls should he use.

out of all these i think that number one is the most SEO friendly

1) domain.com/abstractwallpapers.html

2) domain.com/wallpapers/abstract/

3) domain.com/wallpapers/abstract/index.html

4) domain.com/wallpapers/abstract/abstractwallpapers.html

i think all images can be placed in a folder like this

wallpapers folder -> wallpaper type

to store the images only and have all the pages on the top level instead of in those sub folders what do you guys think.

 

2 for good page ranking exstensions like .html or .php hurt your ability to rank fast IMO.

 

I'd prefer domain.com/wallpapers-abstract.html, but I'd say 2 if it has to be any one out of those 4 options.

 

when you say to rank fast do you mean to gain PR or just to rank higher in the SERPS?

 

I would agree with this...if your friend just used abstractwallpapers I think google and other SE's would treat that as a single keyword as opposed to 2 keywords..

 

what if he used something like
2) domain.com/wallpapers/abstract/

i seen some sites ranking high doing that kind of urls what do you think d16man?
